Afghan-Georgian Sides have Discussed Future Opportunities

Ambassador Khan Wali Khan Basharmal met with Ambassador Mamuka Murjikneli Ambassador of Georgia in Turkmenistan.

Ambassador Basharmal called the strategic location of Georgia important for Afghan exports to Europe and beyond. He appreciated the sincere contribution of the Georgian government for bringing stability to the Afghan people along with the strategic partners of Afghanistan. Both sides discussed the possibility of bilateral cooperation in digitalizing the Afghan education and customs systems. Georgian ambassador welcomed the reception of Afghan technical experts to Georgia for learning more about technologies.

H.E. Mr. Mamuka Murjikneli Ambassador of Georgia praised the people of Afghanistan and said that freedom of speech is a major achievement of the past two decades in Afghanistan. He stressed upon the expedition of the remaining work of Lapis Lazuli Trade and Transit Corridor. Mr. Mamuka Murjikneli mentioned that Georgia is interested in assisting Afghanistan in all the required areas in order to meet the challenges after the withdrawal of international forces from Afghanistan. Both sides agreed to conduct a meeting about Lapis Lazuli in Ashgabat-Turkmenistan.
