Sixth Session of the intergovernmental Afghan-Turkmen commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation held in Kabul on 15 June 2016 under the chairmanship of H.E. Eklil Ahmad Hakimi, Minister of Finance of I.R. Afghanistan and H.E. Yagshygeldi Elyasovich Kakaev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.
The delegation of both sides discussed technical issues related the transmission of 500KV electricity line from Turkmenistan to Pakistan through Afghanistan, cooperation in oil-gas and energy sectors, construction of railway line from Aqina to Andkhoy, fiber optics, progress of TAPI pipeline and also expressed their keen interests to improve bilateral relations in economic, trade and cultural areas.
At the end of the meeting the heads of the delegations signed the Protocol of the Sixth Session of the intergovernmental Afghan-Turkmen commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation.
