BRUSSELS — Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Salahuddin Rabbani attended and addressed the NATO Resolute Support Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Brussels, this morning.
In his statement; Foreign Minister Rabbani, appreciating NATO’s contributions in laying foundation for a stable and secure Afghanistan, updated the participants on the security situation as well as political and other important developments since the last Summit early this year.
He recalled the new peace road map presented in the Geneva Conference last week, informing the meeting of the new negotiating team and a peace advisory board in place to ensure proper direction for the peace agenda.5
The Afghan Foreign Minister re-assured the NATO partners present at the meeting of Afghanistan’s resolute commitment to fulfilling its part of the strategic partnership, underscoring the prevailing importance of security, good governance as well as the rule of law and human rights.
