Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Ashgabat celebrated the completion of Kamal Khan Dam

On Friday, March 26, 2021, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Ashgabat celebrated the completion of Kamal Khan Dam.

The meeting, which was attended by Afghans living in Turkmenistan, Khan Wali Khan Basharmal the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to Turkmenistan, spoke about the vision of His Excellency President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani in the areas of human and material resource management.

The Afghan Ambassador spoke about the six strategies of the President of Afghanistan in various fields and called the completion and operation of the Kamal Khan Dam in Nimroz province as an important step towards resource management.

He added that this achievement will help us in eradicating poverty in the Nimroz province of Afghanistan.

Mr. Ahmad Tariq Noorzadeh Counselor, Ms. Farzana Niazi Second Secretary of the Embassy spoke about the importance of construction and its technical capacity.

Professor Massoud Massoud, an Afghan academician also spoke about the economic and social importance of this dam and shed light on its impact on the lives of the people of Nimroz and south-western Afghanistan.
