Commemoration Ceremony of the martyrs’ week and 16th death anniversary of Ahmad Shah Massoud the National Hero of Afghanistan held at the Embassy of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Turkmenistan on 12th September 2017.
Meerwais Nab, Ambassador of I.R. Afghanistan in Turkmenistan while praising the courage and sacrifice shown by the noble martyrs of holy Jihad and Resistance, stated that the people of Afghanistan shall not forget them as they lost their lives on the way to freedom, dignity and honor of our beloved country. They struggled for the social equality, rule of law and economic prosperity of the nation.
Ambassador Nab emphasized that in this week the people of Afghanistan pay respect to all the martyrs specially Ahmad Shah Massoud, Professor Burhanuddin Rabbani, Ahmad Wali Karzai, Hajji Abdul Haq and other proud martyrs of the people of Afghanistan who are the symbol of national unity and peace and display a picture of brotherhood among all nationalities residing in the country.
9th of September is the day of unity in Afghanistan, people embracing each other for the goodwill of their nation.
Afghan Ambassador also added that our National Security Forces are struggling hard to protect the sovereignty of Afghanistan and they are paying the highest price. Today the people of Afghanistan should appreciate and remember them for their struggles.
Afghan Ambassador mentioned that today Afghans must work hard for a better future of their country.
In this event, representatives of Afghan business community, Afghan students studying in Turkmenistan and Afghans residing in Turkmenistan also participated.
