Afghan Border Police Officers Received Joint Training with Turkmen Counterparts in Ashgabat

Ten middle-rank border police officers from Afghanistan completed a five-day joint Training Courses with Turkmenistan Border Police organized in the capital of Turkmenistan by the OSCE Center in Ashgabat.

The course introduced participants the behavior of the travelers, examining travel identity and detection capabilities as well as ways to further cooperate in the future.
Ambassador Meerwais Nab during a lunch reception hosted by the Embassy of I.R. Afghanistan in Ashgabat said that such training courses for the Border Police is of high importance and it provides an opportunity to enhance security cooperation particularly border security jointly fight against narcotics smuggling and increase the skills of both Afghanistan-Turkmenistan border police officers.

Afghanistan Ambassador emphasized to hold such seminars and training courses in Heart, Mazar Sharif and Kabul in the future.

Ambassador Nab pointed out that the borders between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan is one of the safest borders and the Government of Afghanistan pays special attention for the security and stability of its borders with all neighbors especially with Turkmenistan.
